Description
In this tutorial, we'll focus on using power chords to create killer riffs in a Metal style. In doing so, we'll cover aggressive strumming with whole note, 1/4 note, and 8th note rhythms, palm muting, rhythmic emphasis, and chord progressions that include the b2 and b5 chords, a hallmark of this style. Once we've gotten these riffs under our fingers, we'll combine them into a practice tune and play it along with a backing track.
